BUDGET MEETING

Chairwoman Blessing called the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M.
SEATING OF ALTERNATES
Ken Schoppmann motioned to seat Chopeta Lyons for Matt DiNallo and to seat Dawn Semmelrock for Elizabeth Marco. Mark Jones seconded. All were in favor, motion carried.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion to approve the Budget Meeting minutes of February 14, 2008 as amended was made by Ken Schoppmann. Chopeta Lyons seconded. All were in favor, motion carried.
Annemarie Poole’s name was spelt incorrectly.
PRESENT TO SPEAK

NEW BUSINESS
Fire Marshal
Richard Palmer presented his budget request with an increase of just less that 1%. It does not include an increase to the Fire Marshal’s salary if there is an increase to non-union employees.
Willington #1 – Fire Chief Tyler Millex was not able to attend the meeting due to the birth of his son.
Willington Hill Fire Dept – They were not present at the meeting.

The Board then reviewed the budget request from Willington #1. Willington Hill Fire Dept has not yet submitted their budget request. Chairwoman Blessing will contact the Fire Departments to re-schedule their meeting. She will request that they be present at a special meeting on March 11, 2008.

The next budget meeting will be with the Selectman’s Budget on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 7:00 pm. in the usual meeting place.

Motion to adjourn at 8:06 was made by Elizabeth Marco, Mark Jones seconded. All were in favor, motion carried.
